Each of Yamu’s seven tents is designed to blend into the Cederberg fynbos, with canvas and natural timber framing uninterrupted views across the Clanwilliam Dam and mountains beyond.
Inside you’ll find a super-king bed, a full bathroom with bath and shower, a kitchenette with fridge, gas hob and coffee machine, and a cosy fireplace for cooler evenings. Every tent runs entirely off-grid, powered by renewable energy.

Classic Tent
Ideally positioned close to the Great Tent, Rockpool & Spa, and Laguna Beach, the Classic Tent offers beautiful views while keeping you connected to the heart of the resort.
Signature Tent
Tucked deeper within Yamu’s natural landscape, the Signature Tents offer secluded and intimate settings, surrounded by striking rock formations and fynbos.
Premium Tent
Set in the most prestigious and elevated locations of the reserve, the Premium Tent represents the pinnacle of luxury tented living at Yamu, with the resort’s most commanding views.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt beautifully considered. The beds were incredibly comfortable with luxurious linen, the spacious bathroom was a dream, and the outdoor shower with its open views was simply magical. What’s the difference between Classic, Signature and Premium tents?
All three share the same off-grid comforts and layout. Classic sits close to the Great Tent, Rockpool & Spa and Laguna Beach; Signature is tucked deeper into the fynbos for more privacy; Premium occupies the most elevated, prestigious spots on the reserve.
Do the tents have power and Wi-Fi given Yamu is off-grid?
Yes. Yamu is powered entirely by renewable energy, and every tent has full electricity and complimentary Wi-Fi. Off-grid doesn’t mean roughing it.
Is Yamu suitable for children?
